About The Beckwood Hotel
The Beckwood Hotel keeps things simple with a bar on site and an outdoor seating area, plus a picnic spot for guests who want to eat in the fresh air. A games room adds another option for downtime, and 24 hour reception means arrivals and requests can be handled at any hour.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. Free WiFi is provided throughout. Bedding is kept clean, though some rooms show their age and can be short on basic extras, so this suits guests after straightforward, no-frills accommodation rather than polish.

What guests say
Don't bother looking at this place even on booking.com myself and daughter arrived just around 1.30 don'twven knowif anybody else had booked in, dumped our bags, went for a quick walk and booked into another b&b, then left as what can be best described as a health hazard, the pics on here are from upto 7 years ago, looks absolutely nothing like that rooms are in very desperate need of updating, mold, rotten windows, old worn carpets, mattresses in dire need of a skip, doors difficult to open, a lot of filler in the walls, even a fire door extremely close to a landing top step, luckily a warning sign there though just, light switch to hallway next to rooms not working, pool table door locked. The lounge was not accessible and definitely not looking the same in the pic, bar well it may have been there, just needs to be closed down and a large amount needs to be spent on it or selling to someone who has customer care and quality in mind, maybe who has a mind set for running a b&b ((hotel), but Avoid AVOID AVOID, good luck in getting a refund even through Booking.com (they have to ask the owners)

***HORRIFIC!!!*** If I could give ZERO stars I would! The place is diabolical! Absolutely filthy! We didn’t even stay! We walked out after 5minutes of checking in. The photos advertising the hotel are of false representation of the place! • Mould in the room • Room smelt rancid • hole in the ceiling • flies flying around in the room • Holes in doors • Urine up the walls of the bathroom • filthy used bedsheets DO NOT BOOK HERE!

We arrived Fri 5th sept the place was disgusting. We were shown our room I wouldn't have let a dead animal be in the place. The hotel wasn't even as clean as filthy. The people running it were out of the face. We left straight away and then had to sit in a cafe and try and find other accommodation for ourselves as well as the other couple we were with. Wasn't a great start to our weekend away..wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I contacted Booking.com who now have this establishment under review but they still advertise it. I would advise all persons looking at this hotel to give it a wide berth. one star is even touch to give them

The room I stayed in was okay. I went downstairs to ask the owner for toilet paper because there was none she asked if the room was clean and I said no there’s a little bit of tobacco on the carpet so she went up and vacuum it all up. There were only one problem. I had nothing to do with the hotel I kept on receiving knocked on the door by other guests then I had a letter shoved under the door by one of the guest members
