Shepherd’s Lodge Retreat and Wellness

We rented the outdoor sauna field for 3 hours on a Saturday and it was an absolutely lovely day. Would highly highly recommend anyone to book this wholesome experience. We spent the morning having breakfast in Market Harborough (only a 15 min drive away), and then made our way to Cowslip at 12ish. We took some camping chairs and a picnic in a cool box which was sufficient for what we needed. Had some time in the sauna, taking in the tranquility, had a swim in the lake and just chilled all afternoon, playing card games and chatting. We also took our dog, who loved running around and exploring (the field is gated so he could run free without us worrying). Kate was an absolute gem, her responses were quick and informative and the whole booking process was so smooth. She even went the extra mile to file a video on how to work the sauna because I was a bit anxious about it! I will 100% be back.

Beautiful wellness event organised by HannaParsonsPT. Cowlip is an amazing venue in a spectacular setting. Fantastic facilities - sauna, rainwater fed lake, communal roundhouse with pizza oven, studio with fully kitted out kitchen. Didn't stay overnight, but the shepherd huts looked well furnished with everything you would need for a stay with friends or family. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Cowslip Meadows in the Nomad hut. The hut was in a secluded area with beautiful longhorn cows in the surrounding fields. The hut itself was spotless and really spacious - much bigger than others we’ve stayed at. The decor inside was pretty and practical with plenty of storage, bedside tables, kitchen equipment, coffee machine, cosy fireplace, underfloor heating, to name a few. The hot tub was perfect with all the equipment for fire starting provided. The location is excellent. We enjoyed a scenic walk around Foxton locks and a day trip to Leicester. There’s a lot of really nice pubs around to choose from too. Kate was a really attentive and friendly host. Would highly recommend this experience.

Stayed for the weekend with my girlfriend for valentines and ended up extending another night! Honestly it was blissful! Such an incredible setting. Hot tub was used soooo much and incredible to watch the sunset from. We stayed in Buddy (my preference as is the most secluded!) My gf loved the underfloor heating and we watched movies on the projector at night. Super close to an amazing petting zoo and some beautiful locks (the only time we left our amazing accommodation!) Kate & Willy were the absolute best hosts and we had full privacy whilst being taken care of with things like pre heating the hot tub for us. Thank you and we will be back! Chris x
