Trecco Bay Holiday Park

Large holiday park in Bridgend with indoor and outdoor pools, entertainment, and direct beach access.

About Trecco Bay Holiday Park

Bridgend's seafront location has made it a popular spot for family holidays, and Trecco Bay Holiday Park sits right at the centre of things, with the beach on the doorstep and Funtasia funfair just a short walk away. The park is substantial, with plenty of on-site facilities including two swimming pools, a games room, TV room, kids' club and evening entertainment, plus a restaurant, cafe and bar. There is also a shop and launderette on site, and free wifi throughout.

The park caters to families and welcomes dogs. Pitches are available for caravans and motorhomes. Staff are reported to be friendly and helpful. The main draw is the breadth of activities available, both on the park and within easy reach—the beach, funfair, golf, horse riding, sailing and fishing are all nearby. Worth noting: some visitors have reported that caravans and facilities show signs of wear, so condition varies. Public transport links are good, and you can leave the car at home once on site.

Dirty, ant infested, caravans. Grubby even though they were supposed to be cleaned before arrival. Extortionate prices for basic items on camp. Even my 5 year old grandson thought the arcades were 'a scam'. Beaches nearby are great. Would definitely recommend a visit to Aberavon which is about 30 minutes away. Would not recommend a Parkdean holiday based on this experience.

I had very mixed feelings about our stay at Trecco Bay. I think ultimately its not ideal for very young children unless the weather is guaranteed to be nice. The information about what's on, when and where is really poor. This is something we've noticed with Parkdean generally and all they need is an app. The information regarding restaurants on Google does not reflect reality. The kids entertainment start way earlier than listed. This site definitely had poorer communication/breakdown compared to others. Actually its put us off Parkdean as a company now and we will be looking at other holiday companies in future. Sadly the splash pool was closed so swimming for our 4 and 2 year old wasnt as we had hoped and there was an additional charge for soft play. Some areas weren't quite large enough for the number of people either. Arcade good. Staff friendly. Food great. Caravan clean.

Wow, where do i start. When going to reception, there is nowhere to park to book in. People abandoning cars to check in. Staff were friendly and welcoming. When we got to our caravan, what a shock. A gold caravan that had been well abused. There was a freezer in the middle of the dining area, and when you opened the door it tips up (not great with a 22 month old who likes to touch everything). The carpet was sticky to walk on. The sofa had stains that I can only imagine what they could be. The fridge door is all dented and the trays inside are all missing. The gave on the decking was broken at the bottom, leaving a sharp edge, also not great with little one's running about. Ant power all over the floor, just ready for our granddaughter to put her fingers in. Spoke to reception and asked to be moved, but fully booked, so no hope there. Trecco Bay you have disappointed me and my family. Here for the weekend and almost turning round and going home. How you can rate this tip as a gold caravan is beyond me. Silver caravans at other sites of yours are 10x better than this. Ruined our nice little break. Never come here. Gave it 2 stars as others in reception were in the same boat as us, so we began to compare how bad our caravans were. The 1 with blood on the ceiling won. And it is so bad we had to laugh. What a shame, still dirty linen outside a caravan the next day.

Was always sceptical about this holiday park as heard alot of mixed reviews regarding Porthcawl and Trecco bay. My opinions have completely been blown apart. Lovely caravan site situated right on the beach, which is possibly one of the nicely beaches I have ever been on. The amenities of the park itself are excellent. Food is really well priced. Steep for alcohol but that's like every other park. Lots for children to do and they were never bored. Caravan was incredibly clean and really well laid out. And very very quiet. Would reccomend this holiday park to anyone now as it is excellent.
