About Oakwell Guest House

Bridlington's stretch of coastline and its network of scenic walks make it a popular base for a straightforward seaside break, and Oakwell Guest House sits within easy reach of both. This is a six-room guest house rather than a large hotel, geared towards guests who want a comfortable, no-nonsense stay close to the attractions rather than a resort experience.

Each of the six rooms comes with its own en suite bathroom, and a free hot breakfast is included to set guests up for the day. The property also has a restaurant and bar on site, along with air conditioning, free WiFi, a garden, and a lift for those who prefer not to use stairs. Practical extras include luggage storage, a laundry service, porter and concierge support, and meeting rooms, while the guest house also caters for weddings.

Free on-site parking is available, which is a useful bonus in a seaside town where spaces can be tight. Beyond the property's own facilities, guests are within reach of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, making it a convenient spot for exploring Bridlington's coastal attractions on foot.

Stayed here 8/5/26 for a show at the SPA . Arrived 3 ish was greeted at door with a smile ,first impressions last. Lovely tidy place run by Liz and Chris . Room clean, breakfast spot on. Liz let us keep our overnite bag there till late afternoon following day so we could enjoy more of Brid before our train home. This place will fill up fast ,suggest you get it booked. Lovely people, service and a great location.

Was visiting friends, booked a room for the night, I was pleasantly surprised, the room was very comfortable and clean, the owners were very friendly and welcoming great customer service. The breakfast was really nice and I could tell they use good quality Ingredients. Great value for money, would definitely be booking a return stay. Can't recommend them enough

A group of three of us stayed here when we completed the Way of the Roses cycle ride. We received a warm welcome from Michael and Elizabeth. They gave us lots of useful local information (where to find best fish and chips and drink real ale!!). Michael stored our bikes securely in his man cave. The roooms were simple but clean, warm and comfortable. The telly and the WiFi both worked. Plenty of hot water in the shower. We all enjoyed a SUBSTANTIAL full English in the morning. Elizabeth did not stint on the coffee supply, either. Best of all, they had proper Heize Ketchup and HP suace in large bottle. So no cheap look alike or struggling to open corners of tiny plastic packets. It's details like these that make all the dffierence.

My friend and I just stayed for the weekend. Where do I start? The hosts. Absolutely the best hosts at a BnB I have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble at any time. They create an atmosphere of warmth and familiarity and fun. When we left it felt right to give them a big hug and a promise to stay with them next year for the NODA festival. No point looking anywhere else as nowhere could top their hospitality, the cleanliness, the coziness, the comfort, the peace, the attention to detail and of course….. the fantastic, fresh, home cooked breakfast. Exactly what a BnB should be.
