We had a very enjoyable stay at this campsite. We arrived exhausted by bike during a cycle from London to Cornwall. It was a Monday so the campsite was quiet, with only three other groups staying. We found a perfect pitch between the orchards and made the most of the nice weather to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and some ciders. The toilets and showers are reliable, but maybe the showers needed some tlc. They were almost finished a new shower block which would be a big improvement. As it was mid week there was no food available onsite, but they let you order from local takeaways. Cider was really Enjoyable and staff were very friendly.

We had a lovely time at Dorset Nectar campsite. The comms beforehand were helpful and swift. We had a friendly welcome and the site was easy to pick and pitch. It is really beautiful living within a tree orchard (we were in a van so we were asked stay at the end of the line to ensure we didn't damage the tree roots, but this didn't distract from the experience). It got quite busy but everyone was very respectful of the 11pm curfew so everyone could get a good night sleep. The cider shop/cafe was a welcome place to relax and has lots of tasty treats and drinks available. Dorset Nectar is an exellent place for stars on clear nights and as a base to explore the surrounding countryside too (Bridport was approx 2 hour walk away but we easily got a taxi back).

I don't want to sound like a grumpy old so and so - but if I go camping, all I reallyask for is to sit around a fire pit and talk with friends. Whose bright idea it was then to put a DJ set on in the only place where fire pits are allowed? The overbearing music ruined the whole experience. The set was effectively someone going onto Spotify and typing, generic electronic music - the kind of rights free stuff you might hear behind a relatives travel vlog you've been forced to endure. - I stayed a year before, and the experience was much better. Appreciate the work that has been done to improve the facilities, but honestly, just kill the music and you'll massively improve the experience.

Couldn't recommend this place enough, what a wonderful retreat especially if you are looking for some quiet time to escape the humdrum of life! Greeted by friendly staff on arrival, and with an array of pitch choices to choose from. The pitches come with a complimentary fire pit. Lines of orchard trees lined in rows offer privacy between tents. Saturday night food was delicious, and music in the garden helped the cider go down. Plenty of cider choices and sizes to choose from depending on how thirsty your feeling.
