What visitors say

i was given the opportunity to give a talk here as i’m a history student at university. this place is run by the most enthusiastic people who have nothing love for maintaining and spreading local history. absolutely well worth popping in for a visit and having a chat with them. places like methil heritage centre are so so important to both heritage and the local area.

My son took me to Scotland to review my families history. My mother was born there in 1914 and Watson was her maiden name and we reviewed where she went to school for the first nine years of her life at least where the building was the staff was so friendly they sure they shared photographs of where my mother would’ve lived, and I got a real sense of what it was like for her in her early years in Scotland. I would recommend to anybody that they visit the center and receive a warm welcome from the staff and it really gave me a sense of history to go there and see all of the archives that were available.

It's a small gallery; just three spaces for exhibits, meetings, activities. We saw the Wonder Store exhibition with local artists work displayed. It was a free event.

Community run small museum showing the rich heritage and history of Method and the surrounding area. The facility has a small café with nice seating area that serves hot drinks and juice only. The place is managed by dedicated, friendly and passionate volunteers. The facility is a hidden gem and something that the community and volunteers should he proud of for their achievements.
