Campground in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire with electric hook-ups and shower facilities.

About Bella Vista Camping

High Wycombe is a working market town in the Chilterns, and Bella Vista Camping sits within reach of its shops, pubs and transport links. The campground offers electric hook-ups on its pitches, making it suitable for caravans and motorhomes looking for a base near town amenities rather than countryside solitude.

Facilities include a sanitary block with showers, washing up areas, and a chemical disposal point for chemical toilets. Pets are welcome. With just four electric hook-ups available, the site is small and likely to fill quickly during peak times, so advance booking is advisable if you need a powered pitch.

I really enjoyed my recent stay, just 1 night but would have liked to stay longer. Very helpful warden on arrival with lots of information and offer to help if needed with anything else after check in. Quiet site with lovely view of the alpacas and other animals. Lots of red kites to watch too. Facilities looked clean although I didn’t need to use them as I’m fully self contained, I’ve seen a lot worse on other sites. The facilities are housed in an army type tent which may make it feel less private but as a quiet site I don’t think it would be a huge problem. Metered electricity which was great and inexpensive for the night. Great location too

Unique This is the only place I know that offers a complete back to nature package with wonderful hosts. The field is beautiful, flat and peaceful and runs alongside the owners animal grasslands where you can enjoy interacting with Goats, Alpacas and Sheep, a true family experience. Facilities are real camping style which adds to the magic. Even the village pub has now reopened just a few minutes walk. Cyclists and Hikers will adore using as a base due to the wonderful location in the Chiltern Hills. There are many outstanding footpaths and bridleway routes right on the doorstep. We patronise the site frequently at different times during the year and I cannot thank Simon the owner enough for his engaging personality and accommodation of our needs. Always flexible, caring and happy to give local tips and advice. Unique is an understatement.

Drove up to a lovely automatic gate and through to an attractive flat open site where we could choose our own pitch. We never saw any management on the site, bins in the toilets were overflowing, toilets and wash hand basins were dirty and obviously had not been cleaned for quite some time. Toilet cubicles were tiny I’m not sure that any other than slim folk could have got the door closed and no toilet paper was provided. The outside washing up facility had a lot of bird poo on it making it anything but hygenic. The icing on the cake was that you didn’t know when the electricity would run out (if it happened overnight) endangering the contents of the fridge. Thank goodness we were only there for one night, we left without a morning shower as we thought we might be cleaner if we didn’t have one. We won’t be back.

Small simple site but with lovely big sky views and very clean good facilities, including washing machine and strong showers. Cute llamas and goats for neighbours. Very friendly and helpful owners and easy to book on website
