What visitors say
We’ve visited Ted’s campsite twice now and had an absolutely wonderful experience both times. It’s incredibly quiet and relaxing, with spectacular views and a constant stream of red kites. You’re provided with a great amount of information about the campsite and the surrounding area on arrival, and Ted is very organised, which is much appreciated. Reading previous reviews, yes, the chemical waste point is a bit of a distance away, and I personally struggle with walking. That said, I just put the cartridge in the boot of the car and drive up, so it’s not a big deal. There is a very low hum from the M40, but it’s barely noticeable. Access is tight, but if you communicate with Ted regarding arrival and departure, there are no issues at all. We have a 26 ft long, 8 ft wide caravan and had zero problems getting in or out on both visits. And the dog walks are spectacular. We will be back!

Just had a Fantastic week staying at this location. It is our 2nd visit and we’ve already booked our 3rd visit for next year. It’s a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil space. The pitches, all hard standing and fully serviced comes with panoramic views and are so well kept, the owner is extremely helpful. The site Guinea fowl are very funny a like to pay you a visit a couple a times a day for any left over bread. The setting of the site is within a local walking route all being a mix of woodlands and meadows, so you have lots of choice which way you go, it’s a wildlife paradise for those that love being in nature, the Red Kites being the star of the show most days. It’s a definite area for binoculars, you won’t be disappointed! It’s an excellent area for dog walking and there is 3 wonderful dog friendly pubs within walking distance. A really good CL site had a nice stay. The chemical disposal point is not near the pitches. Single track road in and out, managed well just need to phone up before entering or leaving the site. Extra charge for electric over the quota. Would certainly go again.

Had an amazing near week here. Fantastic walks directly from the site in all directions. All pitches are fully serviced right down to fast WiFi. Ted is super helpful and friendly. You can’t wish for a better site than this. Absolutely loved it. So much that I’ve booked two more stays!
