Hotels in Bulwick
0 handpicked places to stay
Bulwick has no hotels of its own, which is very much in keeping with a village of around 150 residents, but it makes a peaceful overnight base if you are happy to combine it with nearby towns. The closest concentration of hotels and guest houses is in Corby, about six miles south-west, where you will find a mix of budget and mid-range chain options geared towards both business travellers and visitors to Rockingham Forest. Kettering, a little further south, offers a similar range along with good rail connections to London via the Midland Main Line. For something with more character, Stamford, roughly ten miles north-east, is one of the most attractive stone-built towns in England and has a good selection of coaching inns and boutique hotels housed in historic buildings, many of them within walking distance of its Georgian streets and independent shops. Oundle, to the east, is another handsome market town with smaller guest houses and inns. Wherever you base yourself, Bulwick and the surrounding Rockingham Forest villages are within a short drive, making a hotel in Corby, Kettering or Stamford a practical way to explore the area while still enjoying more choice of dining and amenities in the evening. Booking ahead is worth doing at weekends, particularly in Stamford, which draws visitors year-round for its architecture and its proximity to Burghley House.
