We’ve had a really positive experience with this swimming centre. Both of my kids attend lessons here, and the progress they’ve made has been fantastic. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and clearly experienced with teaching children of different abilities. The lessons are well-structured and engaging, which keeps the kids motivated and actually excited to attend each week. I also appreciate how safety is always a top priority, while still making the sessions fun. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful whenever we have questions. Overall, it’s been a great environment for building confidence in the water, and I’d definitely recommend this centre to other parents.

The new changing rooms at Meadowside are a fantastic upgrade and a real treat to use. The space feels modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a fresh look that makes a big difference from what was there before. Everything is well laid out, making it easy to move around without feeling cramped, even during busy times. The facilities themselves are clearly built with comfort and convenience in mind. From the lighting to the fittings, it all feels high quality and well maintained. It’s the kind of improvement that genuinely enhances the overall experience, whether you’re there for a quick visit or spending more time at the venue. My child was invited to an Inflatable Pool party at Meadowside Leisure centre this weekend, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed with their staff. All the children and parents were kept waiting lined up to go change for ages. By the time we got to the actual pool, they had delayed us by 15 mins. The staff took ages before the children were allowed on the solitary inflatable, and only 2 children at a time. After another 15 mins, the inflatable started to deflate - a parent was given a zip tie and had to fix the issue. ( I'm just glad that no child got into difficulties because I'm sure the staff would have expected a parent to save them! ). It seems the Lifeguards didn't want to get wet to sort the problem. I spoke to their receptionist and was fobbed off with " well we will let you have an 'extra' 15 mins then! " I did have this place down as a possible party place for my child, but after witnessing their attitude and performance it is definitely off the list. The one positive was the place was clean and tidy.
