About Caistor Lakes Leisure Park
Tucked into seven scenic acres on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, this multi-award-winning adults-only site delivers peace and polish in equal measure. Hardstanding and grass touring pitches welcome caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with spotless shower blocks drawing consistent praise for their spacious cubicles and powerful showers. The two well-stocked fishing lakes – Heron and Foundry pools – teem with carp, tench, bream and roach, while the surrounding countryside offers walkers and cyclists a proper Wolds workout.
The real draw, though, is The Ugly Duckling restaurant overlooking the water, where guests rave about everything from light bites to those ever-popular Sunday roasts. It's dog-friendly too, so four-legged friends can rest by your table. The friendly staff and well-maintained grounds seal the deal, though a few mention prices edge toward the higher side. Less than half an hour's drive lands you on the coast for a dose of sea air.

What visitors say
We have just returned from a stay with our touring caravan. This review is purely from a touring perspective and does not reflect on the lodges or restaurant, both of which looked beautiful. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were fantastic – friendly, welcoming and informative. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was excellent, with lovely staff, good food and very reasonable prices. The facilities were some of the cleanest we’ve experienced. The toilets were spotless throughout our stay and the background music was a lovely touch. The shower rooms were exceptionally spacious, the showers were powerful, and we never experienced any issues with hot water. There were also several drinking water and waste disposal points around the site, and the pot washing area was large and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the dog walking field, which was peaceful, well kept and a lovely place to spend time. My only criticism is the spacing of the touring pitches. They felt extremely close together, with very little room between neighbouring units. We chose not to put our awning up because it would have been a very very short distance from the caravan next to us, and we don’t even have a particularly large awning. There was also very little space behind our pitch almost back to back . As well as reducing privacy, I did have concerns regarding the limited space between units. If the site were full, it would feel more like a car park than a campsite, which is a shame given the otherwise lovely setting and facilities. For that reason, whilst I wouldn’t return with our caravan, I would happily return to use the restaurant and lodges. The staff, amenities and overall cleanliness were excellent, but the pitch layout simply isn’t suited to the type of touring experience we personally look for.

We only stopped for Sunday lunch so that's what I'm reviewing. From what we could see of the fishing and caravan stands the site looked spotless. We had booked a table and were seated. Only three other tables in so the service was fast and friendly. We had the chicken for 2 which is very reasonablt priced at just under £24 between you. The food came out within minutes. The highpoint was the chicken,.which fell off the bone and the gravy which was full of flavour. The potatoes were also scummy and you got both small roasts and a bit of mash. Lower points was the dry looking and for my taste undercooked veg and the solid stuffing. Overall a nice place to eat and a decent Sunday lunch at a good price.

What a beautiful place to stay. We only stayed for a couple of days with our friends before having to head back home for work, but it was a fantastic setting. The view from the bedroom window was worth it alone, the whole area was clean and tidy, and the peace and quiet was beyond belief.
