Callander Woods Holiday Park
Stirlingshire
Riverside touring and holiday park on the eastern edge of Callander
About Callander Woods Holiday Park
Callander Woods Holiday Park, formerly known as Gart Caravan Park, sits on the eastern approach to Callander beside the River Teith, within easy walking distance of the town's shops, pubs and restaurants. Now run by Wood Leisure, the park combines holiday lodges, caravans and glamping pods with dedicated touring and seasonal pitches, giving visitors travelling with their own tent, caravan or motorhome a genuinely central base rather than one on the edge of things.
Facilities are aimed squarely at families and longer stays, with heated washrooms including accessible facilities, free wifi for light browsing, a children's outdoor play area, and an on-site laundry. An EV charging point is available, dogs are welcome throughout the touring areas, and the River Teith running along the park's boundary offers trout fishing for guests who bring or hire tackle. The park is open all year, which is unusual for the area and useful for anyone wanting an off-season Trossachs base.
Being on the edge of Callander itself, the park suits visitors who want to walk into town for dinner or supplies without needing a car, while still being able to drive out to Loch Katrine, Loch Lubnaig or Ben Ledi within minutes. Cot and high chair hire is available for families travelling with very young children, and the park's proximity to Stirling Castle, around 30 minutes away, makes it a workable base for day trips beyond the immediate Trossachs area as well.
