About Glangwenlais Farm
Tucked into spectacular Carmarthenshire hill country, Glangwenlais Farm offers just a small handful of grass pitches on a working farm where sheep and cows graze nearby. Miles of footpaths lead straight from your pitch to waterfalls and forest trails—perfect for hikers and dog walkers—while mountain bikers can head to Gorlech's trails half an hour away. The real draw here is the peace: on clear nights, red kites and buzzards wheel overhead by day, and after dark you might catch shooting stars or the Milky Way stretching across unpolluted skies.
The market town of Llandovery sits ten minutes' drive away for shops, cafés and provisions, and there's a friendly local pub within walking distance serving bespoke gins and decent grub. It's a simple, unhurried setup that rewards those happy to swap facilities for solitude and those big Carmarthenshire views.

What visitors say
We had a wonderful time staying at Glanmarlais. We all really enjoyed it. The pitch was a great size for our big 6man tent, with a fire pit and wood ready for us to use. The compost loo was clean and easy to use, as was the shower (good pressure and perfect temperature 👌) , the washing facilities were close-by and there was a fridge freezer and phone charging points 🙌. No light pollutuon gave a dark sky perfect for star gazing, all with the sound of crickets chirping around us, and the cattle were lowing in the morning! Rosie was welcoming and helpful. We had a brilliant stay, and I’m really happy to recommend to anyone!

This is a beautiful campsite with lovely facilities. Rosie was very friendly and helpful. We had such a good stay and especially loved the outdoor shower! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a quieter camping experience.

What an amazing place Rosie has created here. It's simple and beautiful, you arrive and get greeted and get the tour. the shower is really good, the communal dining space is really nice for a family like us and the washing up area is really well thought out. Our pitch was at the very top of the field which was a beauty of a spot. Seriously this place is a gem and Rosie should be really proud of it and how well she's running it. One point you could improve on is some solar lights for the toilets as the kids found it abit of an ordeal going in the middle of the night 🤣. Good luck and we'll be back for sure

We had a fantastic stay at Glanmarlais. Our pitch at the top of the field had brilliant views, was peaceful and perfect for star gazing at night. The facilities were spotless and the outdoor shower was lovely and hot. Rosie and her family we're so friendly and helpful (their homemade honey was also delicious!). A short drive away and you can walk Llyn y Fan Fach which has the most incredible views of the Brecon Beacons, or you can explore the Irfon Valley and swim at the Wash Pool and Wolfs Leap. Would absolutely come back and highly recommend you visit this quiet little gem of a campsite!
