What visitors say
This has to be the best campsite on Offa's Dyke Path. The location is unbeatable: top of the hill with amazing views all round and no light pollution. Fellow campers were stunned by the peace of the place—no one dared to play music when I was there, even during the day. Respectful crowd. The grounds were clean and well-mown. The manager was very welcoming and clearly cares about this place—she even showed me around in arrival and drove me in her car to where I could pitch. The facilities are excellent and clean, with a modern shower block (no coins or tokens needed), hand wash, washing-up liquid, and toilet paper all well stocked, a laugh room with all the equipment, fire pits, wood for sale, a campers' fridge, and local ice creams. Kudos for treating eco-sustainability seriously—modern, meaningful, and not at all gimmicky. Minor suggestion: a kettle in the laundry room and/or a self-service machine selling coffee in reception (like for the ice creams) would be nice additions.

Lovely views. Walks into the woods and down to Tintern Abbey right from the site. Spacious pitches. Friendly staff. Clean loos. Washer/dryer. 24hr ice cream! Everyone onsite seemed to be having a lovely time. Lots of children about and site felt lively but quiet.

Beautiful setting overlooking the valley, at the end of a long gravel track (keep going, you will get there!). Good free showers and clean toilets, efficient and well-labelled recycling and bins. Children's play area. It is quite a long way from any kind of shop or pub, so make sure you have some food with you, or be prepared to travel to get some. Lots of space and pitches are generously spaced. Fire pits available. Reasonable price for a solo camper with a small tent and a motorbike.
