About Cotswold House Hotel & Spa

Cotswold House Hotel & Spa occupies a Grade II listed Regency building right on Chipping Campden's High Street, and pairs its period exterior with a genuinely contemporary interior, including a spa and two acres of gardens tucked away behind the townhouse frontage.

Bedrooms range from cosy doubles in the main house to larger suites, several with private terraces or garden views, and the Hidcote Restaurant serves modern British food built around Cotswold produce, alongside a more relaxed Bar Thirty Nine for cocktails and lighter dishes.

Its position means every High Street landmark, from the Market Hall to St James' Church, is a short walk away, making this one of the few hotels in the Cotswolds where a car is genuinely optional for the length of a stay.

Cotswold House Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding in May. The hotel provides a wonderful setting with the lovely ceremony room, beautiful gardens and the beamed reception room. The day flowed perfectly through these spaces. The whole experience from the first meeting to the day itself was wonderful. We loved the menu tasting and the venue was able to produce everything 100% gluten free which was brilliant for a coeliac bride! Mandy was fantastic at organising everything and always had the answer to any questions we had. On the day we didn’t have to worry about any of the set up and could just focus on enjoying ourselves and spending time with our families. The whole team were lovely and had great attention to detail. We would definitely recommend Cotswold House Hotel to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Cotswolds.

A fantastic Hotel and Spa in the centre of Chipping Campden. The staff are brilliant, polite and attentive. Bar and lounge, restaurant and outdoor seating are excellent. This is the destination to stay when visiting, the hotel across the road is a part of their group and of an excellent standard as well. We received a complimentary upgrade and the suite was amazing. A million pound bathroom, private patio and air conditioning during the sweltering heat wave. A wonderful stay and we will be back. Outstanding.

Ideally situated to explore this part of the Cotswolds. We had a junior suit on the ground floor with the most enormous bathroom with huge bath as well as a shower. Room was comfortable but needed comprehensive instructions on how to use the lights! Door to patio needed attention as did the patio set which needed attention or replacing! Curtains could do with a bit of TLC! That apart the gardens were a lovely place to relax and all of the staff were helpful, polite, friendly and proficient in their roles. Breakfasts were very good and set menu if you were staying bed breakfast and evening meal was good but choice was limited. Drink prices were very expensive. Didn’t use the spa so can’t comment. There is parking to the rear as well as free street parking. No lift so if you have mobility issues do check room allocation when booking .

Lovely weekend away to celebrate my husbands birthday. Beautiful location, Gardens, staff and Spa. The only areas would recommend are updated are the decor and rooms are looking a bit tired and need a good lick of paint. Would say we were underwhelmed by the High Tea which seemed very minimal and quite boring in respect of sandwiches. However, the cakes and pastries were lovely. Dinner at the Hidcote Brasserie and cocktails in the bar were really good. The Hydro Pool at the Spa and steam were totally relaxing and much needed. Shame I could not get a treatment as no available slots. But my husband enjoyed his. Surprised no Sauna in the Spa area-think should definitely invest in one-lots of Space which is currently not being fully utilised. Also need more Spa Treatments as list seemed limited. The walk from the Spa area to the Main Hotel is quite long-this could be problematic if weather bad or is raining-maybe think of some kind of "Natural" plant based covering with a tressle covered walkway. This would stay in tune with the beautiful gardens as well as offer some level of protection from the rain. Overall we had a lovely, relaxing stay 😊
