About Green Acres Caravan and Camping Park

Green Acres is a caravan and camping park in Donnaha, a few minutes from Kilkee, a working seaside town on the Clare coast. The site has showers, and pitches for both caravans and tents.

Kilkee itself is walkable and offers a proper beach, pubs, shops and restaurants. The surrounding coastline has cliff-top walking routes, and Doonaha, just across the water, is a sheltered spot for sea activities. Inland, the landscape opens into farmland typical of this part of Clare.

It was our very first camping. We are a family of 3, 2 adults and a 5 year old. We booked a pitch for our tent via phone. Niall was very helpful. On arrival, we rang him, he quickly came to the reception, guided us to the tent area and gave us the option to choose from 3 tent pitches. The location of the campsite is amazing. Layout of the site is also great. There is one main building within a short walk from the tent camping area where there are toilets, sinks and 1 ladies and 1 gents shower. The shower cost €1 coin and works for 10 minutes. There is also a kitchen to clean your dishes, 2 water kettle, 2 fridge and some tables and seating. Also washing machines. Where the site needs a bit of upgrade is the sinks in the toilets and also the shower. Otherwise all good and no complaints 😊We will be back again, for sure 😊

Just back from a six night stay at Green Acres, fabulous place right beside the beach. Niall couldn't have been a better host he helped us out immensely when we had a bit of car trouble. The facilities were spotless. Would highly recommend it for families.

Lovely location and host is friendly. To clear up other negative reviews on toilets: Toilets are dated yes but very clean and fine although a short walk from the actual pitches. There is 1 shower per gender, but it's 1 euro for 10 minutes and is hot and clean so great value for time. Washing room is good and the washing machines and dry again is good value for money in terms of euro / time ratio. Would recommend doing your washing here. Kitchen is basic but have washing up areas and fridge & freezer so all good. Sea view is nice and great location for the sights of the area.

Spent 4 nights with our touring caravan. Nice site right next to the beach. Plenty of space for each pitch with own ehu & water. Toilet/shower block dated & wasn't inspected daily while we were there. Also it's situated in the static caravan section, which is a bit of a walk for some elderly folk. Service area needs attention.. Small metal dustbin with no dedicated recycling, apart from bottle banks which were overflowing & it was only the start of the season. Chemical Toilet is just that.. a Toilet just sitting there. Could do with some sort of fence around to disguise it. Grass was in desperate need of it's first cut of the year & would have made it near impossible to put up an awning. Saying all that, Niall the owner couldn't be more helpful, the site is so quiet & the area is lovely, with some really spectacular scenery.
