The cottage (Russet) was lovely, well maintained & the underfloor heating made it very cosy. It was well equipped and the welcome pack of freshly baked bread, eggs, butter, hot chocolate, cookies & flowers were an unexpected bonus. The location was perfect for exploring Clevedon, Weston Super Mare, Bristol, Cheddar & the surrounding area.

We have chosen to stay at Dowlais Holiday Barns twice now for a few reasons. It offers a perfect blend of a quiet rural setting only a short walk from the sea, and easy access to Bristol where we were visiting our daughter. In addition, the dog-friendly policy means that we can bring our three well-behaved dogs for a holiday too. The barn is lovely and welcoming with a spacious living room and kitchen, lovely bathroom and two bedrooms – one upstairs, one downstairs. There is a TV with lots of streaming apps, and fast Wi-Fi available plus a beautiful log burner for a lovely relaxing evening. As well as being a beautiful property, with useful features such as a coffee maker, the owners left a lovely welcoming gift each time both for us and for our furry friends. Within a two minute walk of the barns, there is a lovely coastal path that can take you all the way to Clevedon with its historic pier and beautiful views over the Bristol channel. You can also drive into Bristol within about half an hour, which makes it really convenient.

absolutely fabulous campsite with everything you need! Very quiet and close to the sea, hosts are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend it!

Lovely campsite with clean amenities. Great walk along the seawall into Clevedon and easy access to shops not far away.
