Hidden Retreat Glamping

If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track to relax this place is perfect, in the glamping pod you have everything you need for a comfortable stay, a small functional kitchen with cooker and fridge, bathroom, outside is a hot tub, fire pit and garden furniture and table. Small town is 10 minute walk away, with couple of pubs and restaurants.

Such a lovely peaceful stay. The effort and attention to detail in the pod was amazing, the place was immaculate and well equipped for a weekend stay including a very comfy bed, and the customer service was 10/10. Lovely area as well, nice walks and places to eat nearby, will definitely be back.

This was a cosy base for a snowy March stay. The pod was in great shape and well presented with everything needed to be comfortable. It was warm and inviting when the rain and snow were pelting outside. The location is convenient for some local attractions. The nearby villages have a few nice spots to enjoy, several just a short walk away, and it's not too far from some larger towns. The hot tub is lovely to just sit in and enjoy nature. The Olney pod facing out over the river with a stream of cattle in view. Overall a great stay, with just a couple of areas to take into consideration. There were no toiletries in the shower, even though it was implied there would be. There is also a steady stream of dog walkers directly in view out of the cabin which makes it feel slightly less private than some other pod sites. Lovely time and wonderful place to build some special memories!

This glamping retreat was just as described, the two pods are set in a large grassed field with the paths and a parking area of stone chippings. It was very private and felt secure for parking vehicles but one warning was to watch out for the deep pot holes and massive speed hump when almost there. I only just managed to clear it in my sports car by using a sideways left then right manoeuvre but this was after scraping the underside of my vehicle on the first attempt. I must add that this was my only negative! The pod we stayed in was the Oley, it was beautifully appointed with tasteful decor and finishing touches. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed, the pod and its outside area was spotlessly clean and everything worked perfectly. The local town is an easy walk away and it has a good selection of restaurants and takeaways. Beamish is close by, Newcastle and Durham are a pleasant drive away. Up the road is a small Tesco which caters for most requirements. We enjoyed our stay very much and we will book again for next year as soon as we know the dates we can escape for another romantic, child free interlude. We would like to thank our hosts for their attention to detail which made our break perfect!
