About Ty Ni Certificated Location

Tucked into the Conwy countryside, Ty Ni is a small, adult-only site that punches above its weight. There's space for a handful of tourers with electric hook-up, plus a shepherd's hut kitted out with its own hot tub – a proper treat after a day exploring Snowdonia, which sits just to the west. Dogs are welcome, and basics like showers, toilets and drinking water are all covered, though there's no chemical disposal or WiFi, so you'll need to plan accordingly.

The location is the real draw: beaches at Abergele are fifteen minutes away, while Conwy's castle and harbour are an easy drive. It's a straightforward, no-frills spot that suits couples after a quiet pitch and quick access to North Wales's best bits.

I am just back from my weekend stay here and it really was something special. We arrived on Friday evening and it is very easy to find using Google maps. Check in was easy with a code for a lock box and so we soon found ourselves relaxing in our little pod. We are early risers, so on Saturday morning we were sat in the hot tub listening to the birds wake up. There were rabbits in the field, we heard a woodpecker, and then to top it all a group of beautiful chickens arrived. On Sunday morning we also got a double rainbow. The pod is very cosy and warm, has everything you need and an incredibly comfortable bed. We had the best sleep that we've had in ages. I must also mention the little box of local treats that was in the pod, such a lovely touch from the owners. If you do want to venture away from the pod then Conwy is five minutes away and is such a beautiful place. I absolutely recommend this place. It took us just over an hour to get there from Warrington, but it honestly felt like we'd left normal life behind, just for a couple of days. We will definitely be back.

The property itself was nice, but unfortunately our experience was overshadowed by a very concerning issue following our use of the hot tub. My partner and I spent approximately 30–40 minutes in the hot tub and both developed extremely dry, flaky and peeling skin the following day. Nearly two weeks later, the issue still persists and we are still trying to figure out how to get rid of it. We initially thought it would clear up on its own, but it hasn't. In addition, a pair of black shorts worn in the hot tub became permanently discoloured and turned brown. We contacted the owners to make them aware of the issue, mainly for the safety of future guests. However, we were disappointed with how the matter was handled. While they stated that their testing records showed everything was within the required limits, rather than feeling listened to, we felt our experience was dismissed and that the focus was on defending procedures rather than acknowledging the distress the situation had caused. In our view, the responses we received came across as defensive and dismissive, with more emphasis on protecting reputation than engaging constructively with our concerns. We found this disappointing given the nature of the issue raised. Potential guests should make their own judgement, but I would advise being cautious when using the hot tub given our experience.

Absolutely amazing stay! The pod was spotless, the hot tub was perfect, and the birthday decorations were such a thoughtful touch. The owners were fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. We can’t wait to come back!

Booked here for my partners Christmas present (we were expecting a baby and didn't want to go into labour in the pod) it was absolutely immaculate, lots of little touches like fresh flowers, bath robes, slippers, percolate coffee, hot tub had just been cleaned and all fresh, lots of work has gone into doing this pod properly and is maintained to a high level. Never met the host as didn't need a single thing but details were on had if we needed anything! Highly recommended booking here and would go again
