Dolfran Bach

The north Wales coast holds plenty worth a visit—Victorian Llandudno's Great Orme, Conwy Castle and its medieval walls, the Welsh Mountain Zoo over in Colwyn Bay—and this detached cottage puts you within easy reach of all of it. Dolfran Bach sits in quiet countryside yet remains close enough to pop out for a meal (a restaurant is half a mile away, pubs two and a half miles) or to spend the day at one of the valley's activity centres: Zip World Fforest has treetop courses and a roller coaster, while Surf Snowdonia offers lessons or simply a place to watch. The beach is four miles on.

Everything is on one level. You get a combined living room and kitchen, a separate dining room with French doors opening onto the garden, two bedrooms (one double, one with twin singles), and a shower room. The kitchen has what you need to cook proper meals. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided. Outside, there's an enclosed garden with patio and furniture, space to park two cars, and a bike store. The property adjoins the owner's home. Note that there are three steps with a handrail to the entrance and a sloping bank in the garden.
