Beacon Cottage Farm Holidays
Beacon Dr, Saint Agnes TR5 0NU, UK
Working farm campsite on the St Agnes Heritage Coast, ten minutes from Chapel Porth
About Beacon Cottage Farm Holidays
Beacon Cottage Farm is a working family farm set high on the slopes below St Agnes Beacon, with long views out over the Atlantic and the Heritage Coast. It's deliberately uncommercialised—no pool, no clubhouse, no entertainment—and consistently rated among the best small campsites in Cornwall for exactly that reason. Pitches are spread across several small fields and a walled paddock, divided by stone hedges and hawthorn, which gives both shelter and privacy. The site sits exposed to coastal winds, so come prepared with proper pegs and guy lines, and aim for a pitch with a western hedge if you can.
The location is the main draw. Chapel Porth, a National Trust cove with a well-known café and dramatic cliffs, is a ten-minute walk down the valley. The South West Coast Path runs along the top, past the Wheal Coates engine house—one of Cornwall's most photographed mining relics—and on towards Porthtowan and St Agnes Head. The village of St Agnes, with pubs, a bakery and good restaurants, is a short drive or longer walk inland. Facilities are simple but well maintained: clean showers and toilets, electric hook-ups on most pitches, a small shop, and a 2.5-acre field for exercising dogs, which are genuinely welcome. Open Easter to late September, from around £28 a night.

What visitors say
Stayed here for 2 nights in our campervan. It was a relatively flat pitch, which was fully serviced and had lovely views out to the sea! Advertised as an all-weather pitch but it was actually grass but not a problem, as the grass was well maintained, as were the facilities, which were spotless. The only minor negative is that we didn't see much of the Farm staff on site, so it was a bit impersonal. Try the very friendly nearby Wheal Coates Tea Room for breakfast, or a coffee and cake.

A fabulous campsite, immaculately clean and well presented with spacious pitches and outstanding views of the coast. Great walks from the site along the coast to a picturesque beach and over the common ground into St Agnes itself. 2nd visit and would definitely stay again

Lovely campsite in a beautiful part of Cornwall. The small camping fields at the back of site were sheltered and surrounded by mature trees, showers were the old-school timed push button variety and occasionally the hot water ran out, but this was only a minor overall. The site is quiet and far enough away from the bigger towns so it has that slightly remote feel. And close enough to St Agnes to be able to walk to, even for my 5 month pregnant wife. Well worth a stay!

What a wonderful site. Never been to Cornwall before so never knew what was what. Booked this site last minute. I love it. Good family orientated camp site. Came with my 4yr old. Basic play park but the kids loved it (the site could do more as the play park field is massive). Would highly recommend this site. Great that on occasions coffee vans turn up in the morning and fish and chip van some nights. St Agnes is just beautiful. All your food shopping needs can be met there. The best thing about this site is the view to the ocean. Its just stunning. The sunsets are beautiful. I got pitch number 63 which was perfect location in my view. Facilities are all very clean and loads of hot water.....
