Loved every bit of our stay in the pod at Bodmin Moor Camping. The pod itself was cosy and well equipped with a nice comfy bed. The setting is beautiful. You have your own private garden area with a well kept lawn with table and chairs and a little fireplace and BBQ, flowers all around. It looks out over a lovely view of trees and rolling countryside. There's a gorgeous stream not far away where you can cool off and watch damselflies flutter about. With the pod, you also get your own private little kitchen and bathroom. The whole place is super well maintained. And the hosts, Richard and Jenny, are so friendly and lovely. They were so generous with their time, giving us advice on cycle routes and such, showing us their many animals and even letting us feed the alpacas! The only reason not to recommend this place would be to try to keep it secret!

Just what we needed! A wonderful place to relax after days on the bike. Jenny and Richard were most welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay at this one of a kind place. We made a beautiful walk from the campsite and enjoyed making fires at night and of course the company of their dog Ted and other animals. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy what nature has to offer.

The owners Richard and Jenny are friendly and welcoming. Everything was just perfect for us. We wanted an outdoor camping experience without having to pitch up a tent and the pod made that perfect. I could see a few stars at night through a partially cloud sky. The animals were friendly (Ted, Mark, Gloria) and my girls enjoyed the company of the Dogs, Cats, Alpacas, Horses and chickens around. Though we didn’t drive, Jenny was very kind to offer us a lift whenever we needed one and we also made friends with Rob who was willing to take us anywhere anytime. We hiked and had beautiful views during the hike, visited a few historic sites, went to the beach, made fire a couple if times, had a bbq. Great experience! We had a lovely experience all round. The rain on our last day kept us indoors but we just relaxed and read some books.

We’ve had an amazing weekend in the picturesque lower camping field with two charming bell tents, a serene haven where tranquility reigns supreme having escaped the hustle and bustle with friends and children for a two night stay. An entourage of delightful animals - chickens, alpacas, horses, dogs and the charismatic Gruff the goat - adds an element of whimsy to the experience. Jenny was more than happy to let the children care for and feed these furry companions it was an endearing highlight. We deserve a medal for wearing Ted out, stick throwing should be an Olympic sport. Gruff, with his mischievous grin, undoubtedly stole our hearts. Culinary magic is weaved by Rich, as he crafts delectable pizzas that are hand-delivered to your tent. Each bite is a revelation, a symphony of flavours that elevate the camping experience to gourmet heights, especially as it was delivered to the tent. These are a must! For our small adventurers, the campsite presents a playground of wonder. The wooded expanse beckons exploration, while the glistening stream becomes a gateway to uncharted territories. Imagination takes flight as the children made unforgettable memories amid nature's playground. In summary this wild campsite is a sanctuary for the soul, a harmonious blend of idyllic scenery, animal companionship, gastronomic delights, and boundless opportunities for discovery. It's a place where time stands still, and the world's worries melt away in the embrace of nature's embrace. We will be back
