Tucked into the grounds of a family home on the lovely Lizard Peninsula, Specky Wood is a small, dog-friendly site offering a peaceful base just a 15-minute walk from Coverack village. The spacious, level pitches – both grass and hardstanding – are well-maintained, though it's worth noting there are no on-site showers or toilets, so you'll need to be fully self-contained.
What the site lacks in facilities it more than makes up for in location. Wild scenery, craggy coastline and sandy beaches like Kennack Sands and Kynance Cove are all nearby, while Coverack itself offers a village store, café, pub and watersports centre. You can also pick up the South West Coast Path here for dramatic clifftop walks. Further afield, fishing villages like Cadgwith and Mullion are well worth exploring, and Helston – a 20-minute drive – opens up options like Trebah Garden and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.

A lovely CL managed very well by the friendly owners. Massive pitches split in two separate areas. The approach roads are easily driven with a caravan due to the passing passes and long lines of sight. 20 mins walking down the hill to Coverack and less to the lovely sculpture park just off the coastal path.

This is our second stay at Specky Wood Caravan park and can't rate it high enough, the owners are very friendly, check on arrival that every thing is alright and leave you to get on with your holiday but are very willing to help or offer advice if you need it. Site very tidy and well maintained and quiet location away from the crowds. Actually heard the cuckoo which was the icing on the cake as not heard one for several years. Lovely site and look forward to coming again for our holidays, we will definitely be back.

Great gem of a cl Campsite, adult only site. 15 minutes walk into Coverack. Must see sculpture park. Wardens very helpful, regularly calls round to make sure all OK. Will definitely mark for a return visit.
