What visitors say
We had the dreamiest stay at this magical little campsite! A warm greeting from the owner.. Our cosy hobbit hut overlooked a field with 2 white horses—The site has such a lovely, peaceful vibe, with friendly chickens roaming about, and the hot showers were a real treat after a day at the beach. We will definitely come back.

After we missed our flight to Milan, two of my besties and I were desperately looking to salvage our girls weekend. We ended up in Cornwall with no where to stay, and after some google searches found the Rose Pod at Summer Valley. I can honestly say we couldn’t have got luckier! Chris, the owner, was so kind and welcoming. Responded quickly, has everything ready for our impromptu arrival and answered all our local questions! The hut was gorgeous, tons of space, I don’t think we’ll ever want to stay in a tent again! Despite it being cold at night the hut was warm, and there was a plug in heater if it got too cold. The beds were super comfortable, and we loved the view of the ponies. Thank you for saving our trip with the lovely stay! We will absolutely be back.

Lovely site with shop and pub a short walk away and a bar and site shop open during the summer. Chris and Chris were super friendly and helpful. Intended to stay for one night and stayed three. I would highly recommend this campsite. Two beautiful and lively Collie dogs kept me company during my visit :) I shall come armed with treats next time ! Very clean, warm facilities with washing machine/dryer room and WiFi site wide. looking forward to returning soon. Great location with easy access to the rest of Cornwall. A wonderfully kept site with genuinely lovely staff. Thank you.

We stayed here for 8 nights as a family in early September 2020, very shortly after the new owners Chris and Louise took over the site. From start to finish we had an absolutely wonderful experience. It was very easy to book our pitch, on arrival we were shown around and offered any help if we needed it. Chris and Louise were super friendly and helpful, they were always on hand if we needed anything and were regularly visible walking around the site checking in on guests and making sure that everyone was happy. The pitches themselves are spread out nicely with each pitch being very large and more than enough space for us to put up a large tent, an events shelter (gazebo) and still park the car all within our pitch. The facilities were great, showers and toilets were kept very clean and in nice condition, the electric hook ups are spread all over the site so getting power to the tent was very easy. There are laundry facilities on site and the washing up area was also spotless. The location of the campsite was ideal, it's in a nice quiet place just outside a small village with a little shop to stock up on extra supplies. It was also ideal in terms of its location within Cornwall with the North and south coast both within easy reach, a short drive and you can be on whichever coast you choose. There are plenty of very nice beaches all within a roughly 15-25 minute drive. From large popular tourist beaches such as Perranporth to quiet calm and secluded places like Maenporth they are all easy to get to. We even took a drive to Land's End one day which only took about 45-50 minutes. Overall I would 100% recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, family ran campsite in Cornwall. The facilities are great, the location is spot on and the owners are lovely. We will 100% be coming back next year! Thank you Chris and Louise.
