Tucked between Upper and Lower Tamar Lakes on the Devon–Cornwall border, this campsite offers a genuinely peaceful retreat with plenty to do right on your doorstep. The two reservoirs draw watersports enthusiasts and casual walkers alike – you can try your hand at sailing or windsurfing, or simply stroll the scenic lakeside footpath that loops around the water. Families appreciate the onsite play area and café serving hearty breakfasts and lunches, while campers with dogs find the open space and year-round welcome a real bonus.
Pitches come with electric hook-up, and facilities cover the basics – hot showers, toilets, drinking water – though there's no chemical waste disposal point and WiFi is absent, which some find inconvenient. Still, if you're after a quiet, picturesque spot for exploring Bude and the north Cornwall coast without the crowds, Tamar Lakes delivers.

A beautiful place to walk with a level circular route around the lake. Lots of wildlife and amazing plants and grasses. Cafe serves delicious food and drinks to give you a bit of energy to get round the upper and lower lakes

Lovely place to walk the dogs,sit n picnic, enjoy the different sounds of the birds, unfortunately café wasn't open on the day we went but we brought our own picnic with us, have to pay for parking

The lake is beautiful and there's plenty of huts around the lake for bird observation or just to get out the weather, there's plenty of beautiful nature to observe and a small play area for children outside the cafe which has great food and toilets
