About The Owl Box Eco Camp
Tucked into a peaceful hillside with sweeping moorland views, the Owl Box Eco Camp strikes a fine balance between wild Cornwall and convenient access to coast and town. The camping field sits just five minutes' walk from St Agnes village – handy for pubs, pasties and provisions – while Perranporth's surf breaks are 10 minutes by car and Newquay's famous beaches half an hour away. Walkers can pick up the South West Coast Path from the village, and cyclists have several routes to explore (plus bike hire locally).
Back at camp, the no-frills setup keeps things relaxed: electric showers to rinse off sandy feet, flushing loos and a basic washing-up area. It's a genuinely chilled base, though facilities can feel a touch sparse if you're expecting more polish. Dogs are welcome year-round, and a bus route right outside connects you to Perranporth, Newquay and Truro if you fancy leaving the car behind for a day.

Owl Box eco camp was a fab stay, we would recommend. It’s very peaceful even with the road next to the field, beautiful bird sounding throughout the day. Shower & toilets were clean and warm, a bit basic so if you’re looking for something fancy it isn’t for you but suited our needs well. Tom was super friendly, helpful & welcoming, he’s also motorbike friendly. There was a camera on the gate & we left the bikes there unlocked most of the weekend with no issues at all. Thank you for having us ☺️

Tom is an excellent host and we love going to the site every year, it is very simple but is a great location. The town is close by and has some excellent cafes and pubs, The Taphouse and The Greenroom in particular.

Quiet and spacious place to camp in the surroundings of St. Agnes. There's a new clean toilet and shower facilities in the camp, well equipped, organised and simple to use. We recommend this place if you plan to explore the areas from St. Ives to Newquay. The site is secured with a camera at the entrance and management is quickly accessible in a matter of few minutes. There's no WIFI service but the camp site has a good signal coverage for any good mobile network.

Eco?! Sure, limiting the time the shower is on saves power, but eco?! Poor facilities does not mean eco! Watch out for the ridiculous entrance on the cross roads too... Better 'Eco' options in the area and cheaper options too. I'd look elsewhere.
