About Fen End Farm
Expect a sweet time when you stay at Fen End Farm, for here you shall stay on an organic farm with its own apple orchard, a few minutes’ drive from Cambridge. That orchard is a top spot for playing hide and seek with the kids by day, and also for stargazing by night – barbecues and campfires are encouraged on site, so pull a log up to the fire and turn your sights skyward.
As its name suggests, Fen End Farm is on the edge of the famed Fens: it's a haven for outdoorsy types and wildlife watchers too, as the oldest nature reserve under the National Trust, Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, is nearby. The site and its surrounding 117 acres of farmland also have a sky-high birdlife rating, so keep an eye out for barn owls, lapwings and skylarks… and if birdwatching doesn’t give you wings, there’s a woodland on site for gentle roaming.
The site's Apple Hut has washing-up facilities and electric kettles; the on-site shower shack has a hot-water shower and swish eco compost toilets, and there's a parent and baby washroom too.
Fen End Farm is two miles from its local village of Cottenham, where there are restaurants and pubs, and local produce is available on site. Cambridge's historic colleges, waterways and museums can be easily pedalled to along good local bike paths.

What visitors say
We loved our stay at Fen End Farm! The apple orchard is beautiful, and each pitch is nestled within high grass, providing plenty of privacy. The facilities were clean and tidy, and having a free fire pit was a great touch. Cottenham is just a short drive away and has a nice pub and a chip shop. My son especially enjoyed seeing the horses, cows, and chickens, and the cherry on top was watching the aircraft pull out from the hangar! The apple juice was amazing—fresh, crisp, and made with only two ingredients. We ended up buying three bottles. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!

A wonderful rural website, with great facilities and helpful friendly owners. We loved that cooking on camp fires was not just tolerated but encouraged in keeping with a strong sustainability vibe at this site. Toilet and washing facilities were spotlessly clean and supplied with very hot water and eco friendly toiletries. A useful cabin was also provided for washing pots and pans storing cold items and generally hiding if the weather outside is unkind. My partner loved camping in the orchard and being allowed to help herself to the apples, I think she left a few! Oh and the produce available please try it for yourself we certainly enjoyed our evening drinking the cider and eating the burgers.
