About Marsh Farm Caravan Site

Marsh Farm Caravan Site is a caravan park in Askam-in-Furness, a village on the western edge of the Lake District. The site has showers on offer. Pitches here suit caravans and motorhomes looking for a base in this quieter corner of Cumbria, away from the busier tourist hotspots.

The real draw is what lies nearby. The Duddon Estuary is a few minutes' walk away—a broad, shallow inlet popular for walks and wildlife spotting. The South Lakes are just inland, and from here you can reach towns like Ulverston and Dalton-in-Furness without a long drive. For walkers, the fells around the Duddon Valley offer straightforward routes. Askam itself is small, but it sits on the edge of genuine Lake District scenery rather than in the middle of it, which means you get space without the crowds at more central campsites.

We met up with friends that we hadn't seen for years. The site is friendly and there is a club just around the corner. Up a few steps and you are overlooking the sea. Nice walks along the beach and the nicest sunset I have ever seen.

Great place to spent quality family time. The owners are very accommodating and helpfull. Very clean facility, warm water in showers. Children enjoyed farm animals, includding bulls. Great for walking, convinient access to beach. Photos to follow on our next visit. Miles of beach to walk on, beautiful mountain views. Golf course next door.
