Solway Holiday Park

We stayed in a 2 bedroom caravan which had a sofa bed in the living area on Nightingale, it was very clean, the beds were comfortable, a small welcome pack with tea, coffee, dish cloth, tea towel was a nice touch. It was a short walk to the main area, reception- the staff were very pleasant & helpful. A small shop for all your basic needs, again staff were very nice, an arcade area, restaurant that also did take away meals. The food was nice, the plates came very hot so we had to allow time for them to cool down before the children could eat (5 & 2) take away portions were a good size. Hadrians entertainment centre, things started about 5pm for the tots, entertainment was good, the entertainment staff were excellent, interacted with the children, weren't just reading off a script as at some parks. Mini disco, kids games, family bingo & cash bingo. Also later shows. Kids LOVED it! Also a creative studio with various options & a small pool you do need to book 24 hours before. It has a small 0.5m deep area & the rest is 1m deep. The staff were very attentive & helpful. We had a great short stay.

Great site. All staff lovely and friendly. Chalet clean and tidy spacious stayed in a 3 bedroom. Pool well managed by Ollie and team also very clean and tidy. Lovely personalities and customer service 10/10 same for night staff in the entertainment area shannon and girls were lovely. Kids arcade Good fun all staff Great ther too special mention for Jay service with a smile and customer service 10/10 other staff also but didnt get ther names .. nothing was a bother. Thanks for a great fun stay

Quite disappointed in the site. We were camping and there was rubbish on the pitch as well as tent pegs which we had to remove before pitching our tent. Other people had dog poo all around there pitch. There was quite a lot of noise from other campers, some doing karaoke until almost midnight. The toilets were ok, showers were blocked. The shop was very pricey, the arcade was good. Swimming pool is pretty small. Staff seemed friendly enough. The pizza place wasn’t opened.

We recently stayed at Solway Holiday Village and honestly it was really disappointing from the moment we arrived. As soon as we got into our caravan, it was absolutely filthy. There was pee left on the toilet seat, nothing had been properly wiped down, and the whole place just felt dirty and unhygienic. Not a great first impression at all. To make things worse, the swimming pool was shut during our stay. They did give us £100 in vouchers for activities, which at first seemed like a decent gesture, but when we actually tried to use them, nearly everything was fully booked. The only thing available was pottery, which the kids ended up doing. We then asked if we could at least use the vouchers on drinks instead, and were told no, which was really frustrating considering we couldn’t even use them properly in the first place. Overall, it just felt like a waste of money and time. We ended up going to Stanwix Park Holiday Centre for the day instead, and it was honestly 100 times better. They had loads to do including swimming, bowling, a sky bar, lounge, café, and arcade. Everything was clean, well organised, and actually worth the money. If you’re choosing between the two, I’d definitely recommend going to Stanwix Park instead.
