Is a good clean basic site. Owners caravans around the outside, camping, motorhomes & campervans in the middle. Toilets spotless, but no handsoap, so take your own. One of the ladies showers has all its clothes hooks broken off (so your gear gets wet on the floor) The only issue we found is the "rules", including no noise after 21:30 were not explained as you booking in, meaning some campers were noisy late into the night. And as no owners or shop people on site, no way of resolving this unless you confront the noise makers yourself. Told the shop ladies the next day, but they were disinterested. Is amongst the cheaper campsites in the lakes, so attracts big families in tents who can be loud. Views from the site are stunning, and a pub is within easy walking distance.

A quiet friendly site. All the basic requirements for a peaceful stay. A small shop on site sells milk, bread, eggs and many other basics. Keswick is a shortish drive away if greater supplies are required. The site is a pleasant walk away from the village pub.

Decent site to explore the Northern fells

Nice enough surroundings, facilities are not the best. Lot of drunk people on a night time shouting and an individual swearing and hitting something. Probably would give it a miss.
