What visitors say
Attended for an event for the kids. They had a greatvtime on the UKs largest inflatable obstacle course. They then went up to the large kids playback, which is always a hit. Massive grounds to walk round with the dog and very beautiful setting. There is eateries and plenty places to get a drink and a really nice shop selling trinkets and bits and bobs. Thoroughly recommend it on a nice day for the whole family, including the wee dug.

We just visited Fort Douglas today (and the cafe/shop.) I paid approx £35 for entry and was very disappointed with what we got for that! The website definitely oversells the childrens play area unfortunately - I would NEVER have paid that much for what we got and they even charged extra for childrens activities when we were in there!! I nearly fell over when I found out. There is hardly anything there - maybe we are just spoilt with our local parks at home! It is only really suitable for ages 3 - 6, my 7 year old was bored after half an hour. I’ve never paid so much for so little and wouldn’t go again. The cafe was carnage at 12:30pm, everyone was moaning in the queue as it was taking so long as there was one person taking peoples orders. With the help of an older loud woman screaming at people to come and get their order 🙈 It was ridiculous. Mushroom soup was lovely though! ;)

Very accessible country park near Edinburgh with huge car parks. Regular large scale events. Great for families, friends and dogs, with wide open spaces and great views. Shops and a good café too.

Such a lovely park. Paid 6£ for parking and spent the day. There is a restaurant, cafe, shoppe, and countless trails to walk. Loved my time here and it’s a great way to spend a sunny day. Rainy even if you’re looking to shop and relax in the cafe
