What visitors say
Came for a 4 day holiday with my children 2 and 10 years old. I stayed in a Bronze caravan and I was impressed with the standard. It's a new caravan and perfectly clean. It's spacious and very comfortable. The site itself us lovely, however, can have rubbish littered about in parts. The staff are lovely and helpful. The entertainment site has lots of things to do for the kids, the swimming pool is nice and has an outdoor pool, which is great as its a heatwave during our stay. However, we had to pre book swimming which was the week before arrival and I could only realistically book 1 slot because the pool is only open 10am till 3pm and they fill.up quickly. The mini mart on site is convenient and reasonably priced and it does have good stock even if the selection is minimal. Nice hot food counter for those little snacks. Overall the facilities are very good and we will 100% come again.

If it had a zero it wouldn't even get that , caravan on main road cars speeding not just tourist workers too , load music all night people shouting all hour smoking drugs , family's walking around with fag's and alcohol in hand, the two caravans behind where for imagrant men workers did not feel safe atall ,, Caravan rathers unkept, dirty dishes stained cups we had a huge infestation of ants as entering spoken to staff not helpful,, Never again would I walk into a haven site after this even if it was a top caravan with all expenses paid !!! I ended up taking my non verbal daughter home two days before !!!! This is a very honest review save your money and protect the safety of children!!!!

Very large site with tourer at the furthest point from the activities centre. Swimming pool is very good, lots of play areas for the kids, loads of refreshments stalls, large bar area and big entertainment room with kids club. Amenities are good with loads of hot water, pitches are a good size and most are level, some on concrete base.

Extremely disappointing stay at Presthaven Sands – Diamond Lodge Tryfan 27 We stayed at Presthaven Sands as a family of five adults from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June in Diamond Lodge Tryfan 27. The lodge alone cost over £1,000, as this is meant to be one of their highest premium options. By the end of the holiday, after extra food and cleaning supplies, the trip cost us over £2,000. For that sort of money, we expected a clean, comfortable, premium stay. Sadly, the experience was the complete opposite. The lodge itself was fairly basic. It did have a semi-nice, fully equipped kitchen, but we could not use it because of a severe ant infestation. Ants were everywhere, especially in the kitchen, making it unhygienic to prepare or eat food there. We reported the ants on Tuesday morning before going out for the day. When we returned, nothing had been done. We complained again Wednesday morning and explained nobody had been out, then again on Wednesday night. Someone eventually came, but only put ant poison around the outside perimeter of the lodge. This did not solve the issue inside at all. We still had ants all over the decking and kitchen, and by Wednesday night they had spread into the living room, dining table, coffee table and TV stand. The lodge became somewhere nobody wanted to sit, eat, relax, or spend time in. That same night, I had to go to Tesco in town to buy a mop head, as the lodge only had a mop stick with no head, plus around £20 of cleaning supplies so we could try to manage the infestation ourselves. Guests should not have to do this, especially in a premium lodge costing over £1,000. Because the kitchen was unusable, we had to eat out for every meal, costing us hundreds more than planned. We booked a lodge with a kitchen so we could cook as a family, but the infestation made that impossible and left us badly out of pocket. The staff also did not seem particularly bothered. This was not a small issue, it was a severe infestation in premium accommodation, yet nobody seemed to take ownership or treat it with urgency. There were problems from arrival too. We were left with the wrong key in the lodge, so we could not lock the door. I went to reception and was given another wrong key, meaning I had to make a third trip before finally getting the correct one. The site also needs much more care. The arcade felt old and tired, with machines constantly breaking or already out of order. The AC vents in the arcade and bar areas were not turned on during a 35°C heatwave, making the main facilities uncomfortable. Overall, this was an abysmal and very disappointing holiday. For a supposed premium Diamond Lodge, the standards were nowhere near acceptable.
