What visitors say

Nichola Coles-Cross

We had a lovely 2 night stay on this single camper pitch. Beautiful views over Carsington Water to the front, and a stunning sunset to the rear. The pitch has decking, garden furniture, hot tub, water tap, electric, and a toilet, shower and washing up shed. There is also a firepit. The site offers Walking With Alpacas most days from 10 til 3. Visitors have access to your toilet and wash basin. This didn't interfere with us as we were out for the day, but it would have been uncomfortable if we were in the hottub or shower, as visitors have to literally walk through your pitch. It would be great if this was a completely private facility as then you could leave all your belongings in the shed, but we kept putting everything away. I've given a 4/5 stars...with a few little extra touches this would be the perfect 5star pitch for a peaceful few nights away. Would still highly recommend. Thank you to the hosts who are mindful of your privacy.

Amazing location and views. Hot tub was a real bonus - watched the sunset too. In the morning we wandered around the farm and met the alpacas, goats and new born lambs. Everything as described and perfect. Thank you.

We stayed on the camper-van pitch! With a private decked hot tub, toilet and shower! Beautiful scenery! The host was amazing and made us feel really welcome! Helped up with tips of places to visit during our stay! We will definitely be returning!

Decided to treat ourselves to a pitch with a hot tub and couldn’t have picked a nicer place with great hosts! The hot tub was on decking where we also had our own table and chairs to sit out. The view down to the lake while chilling in the hot tub was spectacular. It was also nice seeing the alpacas who came in all different colours! There is plenty to see in the area with Chatsworth House not far away and well worth a visit. The toilet and shower were right next to our pitch and were well stocked and clean. Fantastic chilled weekend and we’re already planning when we can return! Thank you!
