Acorn Cottage

Acorn Cottage is a spacious end-terraced property sleeping eight, with everything needed for a self-catering stay already in place. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and full-sized fridge and freezer, so you can prepare proper meals rather than making do. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, as is the initial fuel for the two wood burners that heat the living and dining rooms through winter.

The four bedrooms comprise two doubles at 4ft 6in, one three-quarter double at 4ft, and one kingsize. There are three bathrooms: one en-suite with a roll-top bath and shower, one with a cubicle shower, and a ground-floor shower room. One bedroom is on the ground floor, making it accessible for those who prefer not to manage stairs. The kingsize bedroom opens directly onto the enclosed garden and patio. A cot and highchair are available, and one pet can stay free.

Outside, the raised garden has a heated summerhouse for year-round use, sitting areas, garden furniture and a BBQ. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. Private parking fits one car; additional on-road spaces are available nearby. Buxton sits in the Derbyshire Dales close to The Star Inn and the wider Peak District. No smoking is permitted inside the property.
