A beautifully positioned site in the middle of a large forest to explore. A big site so lots of choice, a shop which is fully stocked with everything you’d need and a delicious new cafe. Honestly probably the best cheesy garlic bread i’ve ever had!! Perfect for families, friends or even just a couples weekend!!

Absolutely love this place. Campsite excellent, staff amazing, campsite very clean and maintained upto a high standard. In fact I can't fault this place at all. Coming back again next year, absolute gem in Derbyshire. Just popped into the cafe for a bite to eat. Lovely friendly owner. Food was amazing. Home cooked chips ...... banging 😊. If you've never been to this campsite, you really don't know what you're missing .... absolute gem 💎

We stayed at Birchwood over the recent bank holiday. Brilliant location and very accomadating staff. The new onside cafe is a great addition to this site. The girls in the cafe did a brilliant job on what was a very hot and busy weekend. My whole family loved their stay. So much so that we have booked eight pitches for the late bank holiday weekend next year. Lovely little site, cannot recommend enough 🙂

I booked a single night here to introduce my 2 yo to camping. I'm fairly local and ride the trails in the adjacent woods so knew of the site. The site exceeded our expectations, plenty of space, clean and tidy, friendly staff, brilliant area to explore on foot from the site. No complaints. Get yourself booked in.
