Campsite on a working farm in the Peak District's Hope Valley with shower facilities.

About Highfield Farm Campsite

Highfield Farm Campsite occupies a working farm in Upper Booth, deep in the Hope Valley at the heart of the Peak District. The landscape here is classic Derbyshire upland—moorland and pasture rising steeply on all sides, with distant stone walls and the valley floor beneath. It is walking country, with paths leading out across the hills and down into the valley itself.

The site offers pitches on the farmland, with shower facilities on-site. This is a straightforward, working-farm campsite rather than a manicured holiday park, which suits those coming to the area for hiking and the outdoors rather than resort-style amenities. The valley around it—home to villages like Edale and Castleton—draws walkers year-round, from day-trippers tackling the Peak District's well-known trails to those doing longer routes across the moorland.

Me and my children stayed for the night, and what a lovely little gem we found (if you don’t mind sheep and all that comes with sheep). Incredibly peaceful with stunning views to wake up to. We were the only ones there and had pick of the fields. Toilet and running water available, but what else do you need? Owner a lovely gentleman, very friendly and helpful. I’m sure we’ll be back again.

Lovely spot, amazing views, great walks and a very friendly owner. It's a basic campsite and working farm but you dont always need much more...we really like the peacefulness of it all. We would come back.

A lovely night's camping, with a beautiful view - probably the best that you'll get in the Hope valley. Facilities are limited on the site - 1x loo and and 1x tap, but the welcome you'll get from the friendly farmer is great and you're within walking distance of two pubs. A gem of a place.

Very basic but absolute bargain. The owner was very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax away from the urban noise this place is ideal, great views day and night 👍🏼 To all the people complaining about things like no WiFi, silverware, clean towels or the presence of sheep... Sell your camping gear.
