Hobson Farm is a small certificated site near Monyash in the Peak District, with just five pitches. At this scale it feels intimate rather than busy—the kind of place where you are unlikely to find yourself packed in with other campers. The site takes motorhomes, caravans and camper vans.

Facilities are basic: showers are provided, but this is not a site geared up with entertainment or extensive amenities. The smallness is the point. Bakewell, with its market and shops, is a few miles away. The setting is rural Derbyshire, within easy reach of Peak District walking and the limestone landscape around Monyash.

Jo and Tom made us feel so welcome to their beautiful site, giving us really helpful advice that made our week very special. It was so peaceful that some of our most relaxing days were spent sitting in the sun next to the caravan listening to the sound of curlews, skylarks and numerous other birds. Seeing the hares in the surrounding fields was also a highlight. The site is very well managed with a real appreciation and support of the nature surrounding it. It's also a perfect base for exploring the abundant paths and bridalways on foot or bike. The little farm shop in Monyash (Barn Close Farm) was great, the lamb burgers especially. We can't wait to come back again as soon as we get the chance.

We had a lovely overnight stay. Water and hook-up available. Super friendly hosts Jo and family. We were on the hard standing, mostly level and absolutely gorgeous views. Hope to return

Perfect site to relax and enjoy the peace, quiet and beautiful views. The grass pitches are spacious and sheltered albeit there is a slope but plenty of levelling blocks provided. Site is kept very clean and tidy, thought has been given to the waste area and information hub. Great base for exploring the Dales, Monyash is just down the road, as is access to the cycle trails and Bakewell just a short drive away. The circular walk around Lathkill Dale is a must. Tom & Jo are lovely hosts, very helpful and welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our time at Highlow Farm. The site is beautiful with fabulous views, well maintained and within reach of lots of places to visit. The Tissington old railway track was one of our favourites whereby we could relax, let our Collie run free and enjoy a lovely cake and ice cream. The site is naturally simple and unspoilt. Tom and Jo are super. A little gem of a find!!
