We had a wonderful stay at Rivendale Lodge Retreat. The lodge was exceptionally clean, modern, and spacious enough for four people to stay comfortably. Having a fully equipped kitchen made preparing meals easy, and the relaxing areas both inside and outside were perfect for unwinding. Two lovely bathrooms, including an en-suite, was a great convenience, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended! The site is meticulously maintained, beautiful surroundings with wildlife at the centre and convenience at the heart of this resort. The main reception area includes a shop, restaurant and bar. They also put on a quiz night each week although we didn’t attend. Location is perfect for the Tissington Trail, which is just a short walk away. Ashbourne is around 6 miles drive, Bakewell and Matlock within half an hour. Local pub is the New Inn which is about a mile and a half away. Dovedale and the stepping stones a 10 minute drive away. Perfect location for our stay. Highly recommended for mobility users.

We had a 3 night stay in a lodge with a hot tub. The lodge was clean, well equipped, modern and comfy. I loved the sofas! The bedrooms were small but functional and the beds were comfy. Bathrooms were again small but the shower pressure was good and they had a rainfall head that was very nice! Towels were provided. The kitchen had all we needed to entertain family that were staying too, but the kitchen area could get crowded if more than 1 or 2 of you were there! The fridge was a tad tough to open but it was lovely and cold. The wine fridge was a lovely bonus! The hot tub was perfect. A nice way to unwind after a day out and it felt private and not overlooked. We were lucky to have lodges on the edge of the park so just had trees next to our balconies. Staff were all lovely, the bar area is gorgeous and offered dog towels, treats and water. There was also a dog wash and a bike was outside. A lovely, quiet site based in a gorgeous area. We will be back!

Nestled away in the picturesque Peak District is the most beautiful holiday park I have ever stayed - Rivendale Lodge Retreat. The park was extremely well maintained, quiet with fantastic farmland views surrounding. The was a lovely restaurant and bar both beautifully decorated, a small shop with all the basics, extremely lovely and friendly staff, ample parking with EV chargers near reception. There are plenty of trails to explore surrounding the park, there is also a separate dog field which is great. We stayed in the Dovedale Premier Lodge (number 1) from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd May for a getaway following getting married. the accommodation was exceptional, very well looked after , clean cosy and comfortable with everything you could need and a relaxing hot tub under the covered porch. We enjoyed the stay so much we extended for an extra night with the help of the lovely reception staff! The food at the restaurant was also some of the best we have ever had - big thanks to the chef! There is plenty to do within a decent driving distance such as the Dovedale stepping stones just 20 minute drive with spectacular views and walks, the wonderful town of Castleton just 40 minutes drive with various caverns and caves, beautiful hiking routes and much more. The Peak Wildlife Park is also around 25 minutes drive and well worth a visit to see and interact with so many animals, including polar bears! I very rarely leave reviews but this time I had to. I couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you for such a wonderful break 😊

We visited in May, loved Rivendale and rebooked the same Elkstone lodge for September. We came in july, as an almost last minute decision,staying in a Castleton grade lodge . Of all the lodges on site and I realise there are multiple sizes and types, our allocated,pet friendly lodge was adjacent and overlooking a 20 car carpark. This was the only downside to a great stay. Rivendale,the location,the restaurant and staff were all super, the dog field,facilities and location all add to the relaxed atmosphere. We know exactly where we will be staying in September so no car park problems then! Rivendale is pet-friendly...our visits( with the dog) to the pet friendly end of the restaurant, joining at least 4 other dogs nightly could have been mayhem but wasn't. The staff member there was very pro-dog making our meal relaxed and calm too! Looking forward to September.
