Pub campsite in Derbyshire village with showers and a café serving hot breakfasts.
About The Miners Standard
The Miners Standard is a 17th-century stone pub in Winster that takes campers. The building has a wood-burning stove and valley views. Pitches come with access to showers, and the site's café serves breakfast. The pub itself serves hearty, homemade food including pies, with real ales and a good reputation for both portions and value.
Staff are noted for being friendly and welcoming, and the pub has a lively, authentic country atmosphere. A café is next door at Bank Top, and the car park is just across the way. This works well if you want to camp somewhere with a proper pub attached and hot food on hand.

What visitors say
Lovely food - humongous portions so I would skip lunch if you’re going for dinner 🙊 We all enjoyed your meals

Such a brilliant pub! The staff and locals were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was fantastic—you’ve got to try the fish and chips, proper pub food at its best! What really made our visit special, though, was when our car battery died in the car park. Without a second thought, they immediately came out to help jump-start us. You just don't get kindness and hospitality like that everywhere. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely be back!

Had such a lovely stay, initially for 1 night in our Motorhome, but stayed another night as we were enjoying it, and the weather was lovely. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The food was amazing, we had the vegetable curry which was so nice. Lots of lovely walks around the area. Dog friendly. Definitely recommend, we will be going back for sure.

Not much to say other than, A brilliant little pub!. Wes was super welcoming and the food was on another level! They let us order half hour early as the chefs was already in which was nice as we was happy to wait till the kitchen opened. The atmosphere was top notch, the pub & facilities are exceptionally clean and well looked after. We camped here for £7 pp (kids are free) which is cheap in my opinion (showers are £1 coin run if you want one) and the views around the pub/field are so pretty. Enough space for easy 20+ campers/vans/ motor homes with a nice gap between them. The food and drink here is excellent value for money along with the camping. We will definitely be back in the future. Keep up the great work Wes and the team 👏
