Lovely staff, always willing to help and on hand for any inconvenience and easy to conatct by txt or phone. Always dealt with promptly. Caravan was very clean and definitely worth the wait. Very hilly location, but the views were outstanding. Lots to do locally and so much history. Value for money family holiday.

Found this place on the Thursday before the first May bank holiday weekend and we liked it so much we booked it for the 2nd May bank holiday. First time we stayed in a private rented caravan which was amazing, personal touches and very clean, couldn’t fault it at all. 2nd time we stayed in one of the chalets (again booked privately) and again it was amazing. The grounds of this site is amazing if you like walking and exploring. Nice walk down to the beach……but beware, there is nothing down there so there isn’t anywhere to get a drink after the trek down, and you’ll defo want a drink for the way back up! So be prepared. There’s no pub, shop, nothing. But it’s stunning. My only disappointment was that when everywhere in the UK was having a hot weekend, we were up in the clouds (at the site) so we spent a lot of the time out and about to soak up some very much needed vitamin D. Food onsite is great, staff are great but the bar services isn’t very efficient! You can be stood at the bar for a long time to be served so best to order through the app and get table service. Dog friendly everywhere which was great for us, the staff loved him. Evening entertainment is mediocre, aimed more at the kids than for the adults but it was ok (it was just 3 adults in our group). After a few drinks it was bearable. Great site for kids.

We have just come back from a week away and all I can say is please don’t book here! We payed for a silver caravan and it was awful! It hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was beer bottles and food still in the bin. The floor was dirty and the caravan was so old and had broken bits of wood all around the table the shelf’s and the sofa! The outside was so dirty you couldn’t see out the window. But the worse thing was the double bed mattress was covered in brown thick stains. It looked like poo.so me and my 2 year old had to sleep in the lounge on the floor as the pull out bed was so mouldy. We payed a lot of money to come here. When I spoke to reception they said the would clean it again and change the mattress they only turned it over! When I went back they said u can pay more to stay in the gold caravan!

Stayed in a 3 bedroom caravan with my husband and child, I would say for three people we had enough room. The caravan was nice and well kept, although I did book privately. The parkdean grounds were geared well towards children, the staff were generally good and doing their best. Overall I dont believe enough staff are hired so service was slow. The grounds themselves were poor so we just ended up going out alot, bideford is beautiful with lots of attractions and restaurants. Cons: 1. WiFi is abysmal 2. awful TV signal 3. The food is expensive for the dire quality. Although my son had a child's meal that was fine and good value. 4. Finding a time where the pool is open is a nightmare 5. The soft play is in a room that is a genuine health hazard. There is black mould and it looks like its damaged the ceiling, as the ceiling is caving in. 6. During our stay we generally expected them to not have food available/ services to just be closed. 7. No decent coffee. It's costa coffee but on a machine. 8. Again with staff- its clear there alot of sessional staff who haven't been trained.
