What visitors say
We arrived on the day the site reopened after extensive refurbishment. There were still quite a few tradespeople on the site finishing off but the site staff were very friendly, patient and helpful. The only pitches not finished were some of the new serviced ones. The shower blocks are amazing, with wallpaper photos of local beauty spots as is common in modern CAMC sites. The showers are large with adjustable temperature and pressure, many hooks and a bench. There are accessible and inclusive bathrooms. The shop is now situated in reception. The restaurant and bar opened that evening with a few teething troubles but the staff worked hard to sort them out and all were friendly and professional. The food was good. The refurbished restaurant is much improved, with modern seating and decoration, but the same layout as before. The pool area is lovely, with better access into the pool, wider seating area around with sunbeds and tables and chairs, and the terrace is also wider with more seating for food and drinks. A special mention must go to the splash pool for children; it is excellent with an assortment of tipping buckets, mill wheels, and various fish spouting water. There is now entertainment every evening but the sound does not carry far so there is plenty of peace and quiet. And if course the views are superb. A bus stop outside the gates takes you into Brixham one way, and Kingswear (for Dartmouth) the other. And it's well worth visiting Buckfast Abbey, also accessible by bus. Hats off to the amazing site staff who have had lots to deal with in the past couple of months but gave us all a warm welcome. A highly recommended site.

We’ve Visited this once or twice a year over the past 20 years and we’re shocked at the state of the pitches this time we’ve never seen the prickly hedges so overgrown, as well as scratching the vehicles they obscure the lovely views. The facilities are kept fairly clean but are starting to look dated. Didn’t really feel welcome felt more of an inconvenience. It’s such a shame as there are many pitches with lovely views and if needed there is a pool, bar and shop and Brixham although not really walkable is a lovely town. We will return because we enjoy the area.
