About Putsborough Sands Caravan Park

Putsborough Sands Caravan Park sits on the North Devon coast at Croyde, where sandy beach meets coastal grassland. The site is steps away from Putsborough Beach, one of the area's popular stretches of sand, making it ideal for swimmers and surfers. The immediate neighbourhood mixes beach facilities with the quieter inland character of the village.

The park takes caravans and motorhomes on pitches with access to showers. Given its beachfront position, most visitors come for the water—the beach is a few minutes' walk away and the area is well-known for surfing. For those who want to explore beyond the immediate shoreline, the North Devon coast path and countryside are accessible nearby.

We stayed the night with our campervan. As others have said, it’s not cheap but so worth the price! (We went during the week, weekend is more expensive) Great facilities, staff very helpful and nice. Stunning views, especially in the evening when it gets really quiet. The beach is amazing. Dogs are not allowed only in a small area, majority of the beach is dog-friendly. Will definitely be back again!

Absolutely disgusting price to visit a council owned beach. The carpark of course is privately owned and the lady on the gate told us we have a choice whether to pay the fee or not. Actually we don't have a choice as to use that beautiful beach to walk a dog along we really have no other option as there is no where else to park and as visitors to putsborough...we certainly didn't visit the cafe as we paid our cash out in parking fees. Such a shame

Just had a fabulous week at Putsborough Sands caravan park. Can’t fault this location at all, so handy to be able to pop down to the beach whenever you want and not have to take the car. Yes the showers are on the farm campsite but it’s just a 10 minute walk away. Site is small and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Only recommendation would be a card/sticker that you could put in the car so you didn’t have to tell the gatehouse each time you drive in that you are staying in the campsite.

Great little caravan site! Quiet with stunning views. Ball games, bikes, scooters etc. Are not allowed, as this keeps things calm and quiet, but as the beach is right next to you this isn't a problem. Coastle path for a lovely walk to baggy point/croyde. Dogs are also allowed. We have two children and they just spend the whole time playing with the other kids on the site, they love it. As it's so small and safe you're not worried, and most people are happy to keep an eye on each other's children. There is a toilet block on site and showers and laundry facilities up at the farm. So nice to be able to sit up away from the masses when it's busy, but still have the view. And just pop down to the beach as and when without having to take your kitchen sink with you.
