What visitors say

Our week at Snapdown was wonderful – thank you so much we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I know we will make this an annual visit! It rained all week but being inside the caravan was lovely and cosy. We stayed in a vintage, which was in great condition for its age and very nostalgic – exactly like the caravan we had when I was a child – has everything you need. The farm is located very rurally, not a sound to be heard at night! There was an opportunity during the week to meet the animals which was very informal and a really nice touch. As it was raining most of the week, we drove out to various different things during the day, South Molton is the nearest main town which has a fabulous market on Thursdays & Saturdays.

My husband and I spent a week at the farm with our two children aged 5 and 2. They absolutely loved it. There is a small play area hidden in the surrounding woodlands not far from the caravans, the farmyard is only a few minutes walk with a collection of animals for the children to meet and plenty of woodland walks around the land. 'Farmer Bill' (as dubbed by our eldest) and his family couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. The boys loved the 'meet the animals' that was set up one morning. The caravan was clean and comfy, exactly as my husband remembers them visiting as a child himself. It was nice to have a break from mod cons and Social media and go back to basics in the peace and quiet of the country setting, hidden away from tourists and masses of people. There are plenty of nice places to visit within driving distance (you are in Devon after all). We got to try eggs from the farm chickens and a nearby market run twice a week held loads of goodies. I think our holiday was very good value considering the location and being the summer holidays. We would definitely recommend and will be returning next summer.

A wonderful week long holiday in the peaceful Devon countryside. Nicky and Bill were so helpful and it was lovely to visit their farm too. South Molton is a lovely village only 15 minutes drive away, to get any essentials you need. Further afield are many wonderful places to visit. We will be back.

This is a lovely quiet place to stay and rest. Bill, Nicola and the girls are very friendly. The caravan was clean and well equipped, just what you needed when you want to escape from the city. The farm had great fields and woodland to walk around. Nice wildlife to watch and hear, and to see all the rescued animals as well. Bill and Nicola are very approachable should you need help with anything. We loved our stay here and will definitely go back again.
