This must have been a great site in the past. It seems a bit faded now, but on the bounce. Still a nice rural quiet place, friendly and helpful owner, reasonably well equipped and excellent value. The showers at the top building were properly hot. My only quibble - poor 4G signal and no WiFi.

Just returned from this lovely hidden gem of a place in lovely Devon, just wish we would have discovered it earlier. Site was well kept, John the owner was friendly and nothing was too much trouble, cheap at £20 per night with electric! Peaceful and relaxing with views of the country

After leaving Pooh camp site for being prohibitively expensive (£45) for a van and one man tent we found St John’s great value at one third of the price. Amenities were clean and sufficient. The owner was available and very friendly and the other campers were great company too. We’ll be back ! Top class for the price!
