About Ten Acres Vineyard Camping

Hidden down a long private lane deep in Devon, Ten Acres Vineyard Camping delivers mighty fine views of Dartmoor's peaks and a genuinely peaceful escape from the main road. Wine is naturally a highlight – the on-site vineyard offers tours and tastings on Saturdays (bookable on arrival), with bottles available in the site shop to enjoy by the communal firepit or at your own off-ground blaze. Logs and kindling are on sale, as are eggs and apple juice, handy for fuelling birdwatchers keen to spot the goshawks, golden plovers, lapwings and starlings that regularly sweep overhead.

Families gravitate towards the large communal barbecue area and pizza oven, while a covered shelter with picnic tables provides refuge from sun or showers. Beyond the vineyard, Winkleigh village (a mile away) has thatched cottages, a couple of pubs and a cider maker, plus four cafés, a farm shop and a fishery within 10 minutes' drive. Some pitches can feel a touch basic if you're after electric hook-up, but for those seeking simplicity and stunning scenery, it's hard to beat.

A peaceful and well run site set in stunning countryside. I enjoyed a wonderful time camping with my two children. The site has amenities to make camping comfortable and some very simple and sensible rules. I can't wait to return. The wine is pretty good too!

A beautiful campsite, lovely and quiet and only a short walk to a couple of pubs. The wine was delicious and the tasting really informative and interesting, and Esther was so welcoming and accommodating.

We had the most wonderful weekend at this campsite last weekend with friends. We had all the seasons over the weekend but that did not detract from our enjoyment, great facilities, lovely spacious pitches, and the wine tasting was amazing - we came home with some to continue to enjoy at home. Great hosts - thank you 😊

We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary staying in the beautiful gypsy wagon! It was magical waking up to the view of the vines every morning. We did the wine tour on the Saturday and really enjoyed the tasting. The wines produced here are fabulous! Our hosts were incredible all weekend and with a well stocked camp kitchen and a shop full of wine, we had all we needed! Can't wait to go again!
