About Torquay Holiday Park - Parkdean Holidays

Torquay Holiday Park has caravans and apartments spread across the site, with showers on the grounds. A convenience store is just next door, making last-minute supplies straightforward. The park runs an entertainment programme and staff are described as welcoming and attentive to guests' needs.

Accommodation quality is not consistent across the park. Some units are well-kept and properly equipped, while others show signs of wear and neglect. Similarly, communal facilities like the pool can be poorly maintained depending on when you visit. Value for money is generally good, but it's worth checking recent reviews of your specific caravan or apartment before booking, as experiences vary noticeably between different parts of the site.

Me and my family stayed at this caravan park. It was a lovely caravan park calm and peaceful. Staff was very helpful. Caravan was clean on arrival and spacious we booked a gold caravan. Swimming pool was clean.. showdome was packed with good entertainment. However the Toilet in the showdome was filthy. Traveling to this caravan site to the main town outside of the caravan park would be a nightmare if you couldn't drive. So you would definitely need a car in my opinion.

holiday park was nice, hills are very steep so if you are not confident in hill starts or are driving Manual i’d probably go elsewhere or park up the top. Lovely place though, we had to get a few ubers to places ranging £8-15. Nisa on site, swimming pool could do with abit of tlc other than that i highly recommend. Arcade is fun, Great ac especially in this weather. Only downside i had is portion sizes in the patio restaurant. We had breakfast and a coke which came to £20. The meal came out after a half an hour wait, smaller and more expensive than wetherspoons!! very stingy with beans which are the cheapest too. I’d recommend eating out. EDITED- meant to put 3 star

My family and I took a last minute 3 night trip during the Easter Holidays and had a lovely time. Considering the fairly inexpensive cost for accommodation, the bronze caravan was perfect for myself, my partner and our 2 kids, and had been cleaned well prior to our arrival. We got there late on the Tuesday evening (about 9.30pm after a 4hr drive) and check in was quick and easy via security. Entertainment was excellent. While the premises are on the smaller side you, definitely don't feel like you're missing anything. Special mention to Ebony, a member of the Entertainment staff - her energy was amazing, my kids loved her and even my partner and I were cracking up when she was on stage, to the extent we were comfortable taking part in the game show - to my kids' delight! We also loved the swimming pool and the lifeguards were very friendly, helpful and attentive - they really went out of their way to make sure the kids had plenty to do during the pool party when they couldn't get the music working. Food options were great, although we did run into a slight issue with communication in the restaurant a couple of times. The first morning, I ordered the bigger veggie breakfast for the avocado but the staff didn't tell us they had run out of it and just put extra of the other items, mainly mushrooms which I dont actually like, when I'd have preferred to swap to the smaller veggie breakfast. The second day we ordered some meals from the breakfast menu about 11.20 and I decided to wait until the advertised lunch menu starts at 11.30 before ordering as I didn't want the breakfast again - we werent told this wouldn't come until after 12 and in fact the staff member kept telling us "a few minutes and it'll be out" without us chasing it and then when it had been over half an hour of waiting and everyone else at my table had already finished eating, my partner asked and was told rather abruptly that "lunch doesn't start til 12" despite the menu saying 11.30 and the staff member herself when he'd double checked while ordering their breakfasts. We had paid for an activity at 12.30pm so had they been clear about 12pm being the earliest it could come, and it not coming until about 12.10pm, I would have gotten a couple of breakfast sides to make up a meal instead - essentially the length of time was not the issue, but the failure to manage expectations came up repeatedly with this staff member and put a small dampener on our experience. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family. We intend to check out some more Parkdean sites in future and just bring more food to self cater when activities are planned.

Just got back from a 4 day stay in a doggy friendly and family caravan. Wow we was so pleasantly surprised on the absolute cleanliness of our caravan, it smelt of bleach, always good points.....everything was clean, we thought the oven was brand new as it was so clean, so didn't use it as ate out every day, the whole caravan was spotless, so thank goodness for that. All the matteress was memory foam, I have spinal conditions, and I literally was so comfy, we all slept so well. Our dog enjoyed himself too. We never did go up to the club, as we was out every day exploring as the caravan was situated right close to Torquay Town. 9/10. That 1 point was the bedding didn't have mattress or pillow protectors on. Thats the only thing I can say was missing, but the bedding was freshly washed and ironed. We would most definitely book to come back to this site, due to its cleanliness! Thank you for making our holiday more relaxed for when we got back after long days out.
