About Pretty Meadow Retreats at Cefn Coed
Sleep under canvas at Pretty Meadow Retreats at Cefn Coed, tucked into a wooded valley within Snowdonia National Park. This North Wales glampsite occupies a spectacular setting on a private estate with 75 acres of fields, moorland and forest to explore, complete with a river, excellent views and stargazing opportunities – listen out for owls calling at night. With nearest neighbours almost a mile away, peace is guaranteed, while Barmouth's beaches are just 20 minutes' drive for seaside strolls.
The spacious bell tents come already pitched, with rugs, throws and homely touches that make them both cosy and practical. Vents and doors feature bug screens for good airflow, while zipped-in groundsheets keep creepy crawlies at bay. A facilities block provides showers, toilets and washing-up areas, with mountain spring water available (boil before drinking). Because insect hotels are scattered throughout the site, you're asked not to forage for fuel – logs, barbecues and firepits can be purchased from reception instead.

The BEST camping place around. We’ve spent 7 nights here. Very calm and beautiful. Lovely pitches, breathtaking views. Staff is amazing. Pizzas ore 10/10. Wellness is out of this world; smack in the woodland. Highly recommend!

We have stayed here for 2 nights in the woodland area . Beautiful tent pitches in the Forrest. Good service from friendly owners and staff. And there is a nice outside restaurant area with a porch. Surrounding area is beautiful. The toilet water reservoir has a sink combined to wash your hands (see photo) wich probably saves a lot of water. My compliments for that. The washing facilities were a bit cramped/crowded. Another minus was that there was a generator running in the valley below wich was annoying. Must have been a good reason for that ofcourse. Would still definitely recommend this camping.

Thoroughly recommend this family-run haven of peace and restoration. Wonderful location close to the stunning Mawddach Estuary, with a great outside bar and kitchen on site and thoughtfully positioned, private and natural pitches. Great showers and loos, and laid back but attentive staff with thoughtful additions to the site all round. Would suit group retreats and sustainable leadership getaways as well as a restorative break for couples like us. Thank you to everyone for making our visit so special, and for looking after such beautiful woods and grounds so we can visit and get back to being human again ❤️

Great find perfect off grid camping experience . We choose the open field with the goats , as we found the woodland too dark in the day . There was horses, goats, alpacas and sheep to keep us company . The farmhouse at the top of the hill had a adjacent small shop showers and toilets with a bar area offering wood fired pizzas at the weekend we did feel the drinks were a little pricey and the bar was quite so only had the one then retreated back to our own stash . The field we were in was split by fences which only had a makeshift toilet in the far field a bit of a trek and a longer walk to the farm at the top if you wanted a better option not a place to be caught short !. Near to Barmouth and a lovely walk from on site along the Estuary one way took you to a lovely pub which sat alongside the still functioning toll bridge and the food offering was excellent as was the drinks on offer , lovely view point from the beer garden . If you went the other way you came to the waterfalls which we never did but talking to others apparently it's spectacular . We did feel a toilet in each field would be a advantage
