Not fished this venue for a few years as a match angler. Decided to pleasure fish with a friend but will admit I was slightly apprehensive after reading the more recent reviews...on our arrival we dipped our nets and entered the cabin...the ower was there, she asked if we would dip but we said we akready had to which she was very pleasant. She was very chatty and welcoming..put us in good stead for available pegs and other activities taking place to best help up choose our spots. She also took time to explain a few thi gs about the venue and it was obvious she, along with her husband only had the best of intentions for the venue and the fish stock. I found this good to hear and refreshing that after all the years they are still as passionate about their fishery. Maybe some of the reviewers didnt take it the same way I did 🤷‍♂️ The fishing was good, if not excellent. It did say online the venue closed at 7 but the guy came round just after 6 letting us know they were wanting to close... we had already decided to call it a day but he didnt know that. He was also very polite too. A great day was had, the owners were very decent and I caught a PB ghost over 22lb.. Will definitely be back.

Been ere a few times with my husband and 2 sons 14 year old 15 year old . Today has just been the best day ever me and my sons was catching 1 after another. Pub food was loverly they even made food for my fussy son that wasn't on the menu. Thank you all so much for a fantastic day.We will definitely be back next week. Robin the owner was absolutely loverly and very help full. Xx

Lovely setting with excellent. amenities. Trouble is the fish are too easy to catch.
