Rainbow Island

I have been coming here on and off for 35 years. Just had a week in a lodge, accommodation was excellent, 4 birth lodge with amazing views. Lodge was modern and very clean. Has a nice box with some washing up cloths and liquid and sachets of milk and sugar. Lodge had a dishwasher and washing machine and also an air fryer. Plugs in bedrooms have usb for phone charging. Make sure you bring toilet paper though as it’s not supplied. Can’t fault the place, pub does decent food and about £4.60 a pint. Chippy is decent too. Can’t comment on the camping facilities as it’s been years since I camped there. Although the camping fields are now split up with trees so looks great. Beach is a 5/7 minute walk from the play area. The beach is fantastic, golden sand and loads of sand dunes for the kids to play in. There’s an on site swimming pool but I didn’t use it so can’t comment. Highly recommend this place and the cost is reasonable compared to other sites I’ve been to over the years. The bungalows are decent too.

Just returned from another great holiday in our motorhome.large flat pitch with our own water and electric. The toilet and shower block was clean and spacious..The bar and restaurant, along with the fish shop were excellent. All the staff were both friendly and professional but I would like to say a big ,big thank you to the manageress of the pub and also Mikey who were so kind and went above and beyond to help and take good care of me when I collapsed due to the extreme heat. They were very professional and kind.Thank you both again.
