Midshires Way Campsite and Alpaca Farm

The site itself is lovely and cannot be faulted. There are only 10 pitches, all of which are serviced. The view from the pitches was of fields of horses and alpacas! The toilet block was clean with two large shower rooms. In addition, there was a huge secluded dog field on site to let the dog run free on. However, the huge issue is that the site is directly below the landing path for East Midlands airport. This includes multiple freight planes which continue to fly all night. I have no idea how anyone else managed to sleep without noise cancelling headphones!

Fab site very quiet. Loved watching the plane landing at east Midlands airport. Toilet and shower block very nice. Great Chinese in village. We will be returning

Are experience was very poor on this camp site when we arrived there was no reception there was no staff around the owner is a very very disrespectful and likes to rip his customers off by kicking them off site for not having a vent in there camper but has windows and air conditioning and none of this was put up on the web site , very very disgusting service and has you see above on the reviews it’s the OWNER he’s the problem and I promise you you’ll have the worst stay on this site he’s very aggressive, you can see his attitude on the programme 4 in a bed and he’s a very horrible person , be careful with this owner please. VIEWERS READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS BELOW GOING BACK YEARS OF THIS ABUSIVE OWNER!!!!

Sometimes things happen beyond your control such as a sick pet meaning we had to cancel a FULLY paid for 2 night stay at short notice, when asked if they would carry the 2 nights over to later in the year,it was absolutely NO. It's things like this that stay in ones memory. Can't comment on the site or facilities obviously.
